1949 Chrysler Windsor Sedan
This car was purchased new
at Noyes Garage in North Falmouth, MA on October 28, 1949 by Christian A. Herter. Herter was Governor of Massachusetts from
1954 to 1958. In 1960, Herter was appointed Secretary of State by President Eisenhower following the death of Secretary John
Foster Dulles. This historical vehicle was discovered in the late 80s in the carriage house
of Herter's impressive Millis, MA estate. The original radio, leather, electric clock, whitewall tires, deluxe bumper guards, and rear dealer installed seat
covers are still in place. Also included in the back seat of the car is the original portable phone used to call President
Eisenhower himself, at the White House in Washington, D.C. Contact us for more information!
